Hello, friends. It's time to do the next step. While somebody of your team is making a masterpiece by translating a poem, the others have to make a Power Point product containing not more than 10-12 slides. The topic of the presentation should be connected with any side of British life. When it is ready, place it in the Internet (a personal site, a blog, a page Vkontakte or somewhere like this) and send me a link (my address is still mku.imz@gmail.com).
And don't forget - you'll have to present your work at the conference on April, 18.
Good luck!

Now the next step. We are sure, there are creative people among you, who not only like to read poetry, but also to write their own poems. So,we offer 2 poems by English authors and would like you to make your artistic translation of them (any of them, of course). You have about 3 weeks for it (you have to finish this work by April,6).
A Poison Tree
I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine.
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

William Blake

My heart's in the Highlands
My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer -
A-chasing the wild deer, and following the roe;
My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go.
Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North
The birth place of Valour, the country of Worth;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
Farewell to the mountains high cover'd with snow;
Farewell to the straths and green valleys below;
Farewell to the forrests and wild-hanging woods;
Farwell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.
My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer
Chasing the wild deer, and following the roe;
My heart's in the Highlands, whereever I go.
Robert Burns
